I'm Sam, an optometrist, practice owner, mom of two and wife to the best hubby on planet earth. We women entrepreneurs wear a lot of hats, don't we. That is one of the reasons I started The Modern Eye Site which exists to support, equip and inspire practice owners and optometrists to design and build a practice, and a life, they love.

When I started practicing as the "boss", first in a corporate location and then when I opened my private practice, cold, 7 years ago, there were so many times I felt utterly lost. When I was struggling with something I'd go looking for guidance, only to find none or to find that traditional practice consultants cost thousands of dollars. I kept thinking there had to be a better way and that better way is TOGETHER. From that thought, The Modern Eye Site was born.
